Health
We run health camps every month in villages at least 15 km from a clinic. We also give free medicines, arrange hospital referrals and provide nutrition support for mothers and infants.

The problem
In many of our villages the nearest primary health centre is over an hour away. People put off treatment until an illness becomes serious. Anaemia affects more than half of the pregnant women we screen.
What we do
- 01
Monthly health camps
Volunteer doctors from Darbhanga and Patna hospitals hold general, eye and women's health camps. Around 130 patients are seen on an average day.
- 02
Free medicines
A three-month supply for chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, with a check-up every three months.
- 03
Mother and child nutrition
Iron supplements, monthly nutrition kits and growth monitoring for pregnant women and children under two.
- 04
Hospital referrals
Patients who need surgery or specialist care are escorted to district and partner hospitals, with transport paid.
I had headaches for two years and thought it was my eyes. At the camp they found my blood pressure was very high. I take my medicine now and the headaches have stopped.
